1860 – 1 baj greenish grey on reverse of unpaid letter from 'ASCOLI 27 SEP 60' to Rotella. One of the latest recorded letters franked with Papal States stamps and not taxed, during the Provisional Government of the Marche. Very rare item of 'Risorgimento' postal history. Certs. Manzoni and Raybaudi (Sassone 2 – Euro –).
